Este 8 de Marzo, Dia Internacional de La Mujer, Resistencia y Rosa Negra les invitamos a ver la película Libertarias:

“En los primeros días de la Guerra Civil Española una joven monja que huye de su convento, conoce casualmente a un grupo de milicianas anarquistas de la organización feminista del movimiento libertario español llamada Mujeres Libres. Las acompañará al frente del Ebro cerca de Zaragoza, donde vivirá los rigores de la guerra y de la revolución social española de 1936. Basada en la novela del mismo nombre de Antonio Rabinad.”

Después de la pelicula habrá una platica sobre los retos que enfrentamos por la situación política hoy en dia y que lecciones podemos sacar de la pelicula.


On March 8th, International Women’s Day, Resistencia Books and Black Rose invite you to come see the movie Libertarias::

“In the early days of the Spanish Civil War a young nun flees her convent, casually gets to know a group of anarchist militia women from the feminist organization of the Spanish libertarian (anarchist) movement, Mujeres Libres (Free Women). She accompanies them to Ebro front near Zaragoza, where she lives through the rigors of the war and the Spanish social revolution of 1936. The film is based on the novel by the same name by Antonio Rabinad”

After the movie we’ll have a discussion on the challenges we face in the current political moment and what lessons we can learn from the movie.
