Austin receives Peace and Dignity Journey

The 2016 Peace and Dignity Journey, an indigenous prayer run connecting the native peoples of North and South America. Occurring every 4 years, runners carry a message of peace and solidarity to each community, represented by sacred staffs/bastones de mando symbolizing specific prayers from communities encountered from the journey from Alaska to Panama. Peace and dignity journeys is not affiliated with any org/business and is non-denominational.Austin PDJ seek the blessing and involvement of neighborhood leaders and elders and welcome participation from anyone capable of respecting the sacredness of this work. We hope to see you at this reception.
