Although we have been moving at a turtle’s pace, as is often our practice, we have been reflecting on what the cultural arts from a Chican@/x Latin@/x Native American perspective means to us.

Specifically, how we can build space and community in this time of Corona that maintains wellness but also honors the artists, writers, musicians, dancers, and cultural workers by ensuring they are PAID not just treated as free producers?

Por ahora, we are seeking to raise $10,000 today for the rent and so we continue to pay 3 staff members.

In the past few weeks, we have been working hard and we are also proud to announce that Red Salmon Arts is a collaborating partner of VoxFem Xicanindia. We finished our first official pod/videocast to launch this new project and you can view here.
