An Evening Featuring the Poetry of Jo’van O’Neal, Justin Davis, and Maurico Novoa
About the authors:
Jo’Van O’Neal is a poet, content creator, and teaching artist currently based in Savannah, Georgia. He is a fellow of The Watering Hole and a Hurston/Wright Foundation workshop Alumnus. In 2018, he was an inaugural Open Mouth Readings Writing Retreat participant. His work can be found in the Foundry Journal, Tahoma Literary Review, Anmoly, New Delta Review, and Bayou Magazine.
Justin Davis earned his BA in Literature & Creative Writing from Rhodes College, where he received the Anne Howard Bailey Prize in Poetry. A 2018 Pushcart nominee, his poems and fiction can be found in decomP, Bodega, Arcturus, and Memoir Mixtapes. He works as a community organizer in Memphis, Tennessee.
Mauricio Novoa, originally from Glenmont, Maryland, is currently living in Austin, Texas. He received his MFA at Queens University of Charlotte. Recent work has been published in the anthologies The Wandering Song: Central American Writing in the United States, and The BreakBeat Poets Vol. 4: LatiNext. Other work can be found in The Petigru Review, Acentos Review, Blue Mesa Review, and Latino Book Review.
