Zamarripa & Jessica Tlazotiani of the Institute of Chicana/o Psychology \nCo-sponsored by Red Salmon Arts and Institute of Chicana/o Psychology \nJoin us for an evening with Roberto Cintli Rodríguez as he discusses his most recent book\, Yolqui\, a Warrior Summoned from the Spirit World: Testimonios on Violence (University of Arizona Press). \nManuel X. Zamarripa & Jessica Tlazotiani of the Institute of Chicana/o Psychology will also discuss the role of a Chicanx Liberation Psychology in addressing community and historical trauma as a decolonized approach to well-being. \nAbout the book: This book makes evident the links between colonial violence against Red-Black-Brown bodies to police violence in our communities today….Like the Nahuatl yolqui\, this book is intended as a means of healing\, offering a footprint going back to the origins of violence\, and\, more important\, a way forward. \nAbout the author: Roberto Cintli Rodríguez is an associate professor in the Department of Mexican American Studies at the University of Arizona.
